The Township Clerk is responsible for Township Cemetery Records, Grave Sales, and Burial Arrangements. Contact Betty Tharp Township Clerk at (231) 276-9263. Our cemetery sexton is Jim Zenner. Non-resident $450 (live outside Township)
A cement foundation is required for all headstone markers. See your monument sales representative. Call Blair Township for the sexton to mark
before placing headstone foundation.

Maple Grove Cemetery

Maple Grove Cemetery our oldest cemetery in Blair Township is located about ½
mile south of the Township Offices. It is located in a serene country setting amongst tall pines trees and hardwoods. Maple Grove Cemetery is Blair
Township's largest cemetery and has a total of 4,192 grave plots. Maple Grove Cemetery was recently enlarged in 2001/2002 with an addition of 264 blocks or
2,112 grave plots. In addition to these graves, water lines were added in so family and friends of the deceased may water the flowers. The Clerks Office in
the spring of 2003 ordered a new well to be installed. The old well site was extremely deteriorated and on the verge of not working at all. We invite you to
take a drive around Maple Grove Cemetery. There are many grave plots available to purchase through the Township Clerks Office. You can pay tribute
to all Veterans on Memorial Day. The Clerks Office places flags on all Veterans graves. Also, on Memorial Day & Veterans Day a memorial service is held by
various veteran groups. You can call the Township for date and time.
Monroe Center Cemetery

Monroe Center Cemetery is located in a beautiful country setting surrounding by
rolling hills. Monroe Center Cemetery has a total of 2,736 grave plots. There are still many plots available to purchase through the Township Clerks Office.
Monroe Center Cemetery was recently enlarged in 1999/2000 to include an additional 162 blocks of graves that consist of 1,296 more graves plots. In
addition to these graves water lines were added in so family and friends of the deceased may water the flowers. The Clerks Office in the spring of 2003
